The University of Birmingham is delighted to offer 15 scholarships valued at £5,000 each to outstanding international students residing in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. These scholarships are available to those applying for undergraduate programmes beginning in September 2025.
Awards will be granted to the top-performing students enrolling in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

Hold an offer and have selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate programme beginning in September 2025. Applicants must be starting their first year at the UK campus.

Fulfill all academic requirements stated in their offer.

Be permanently residing in one of the eligible countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or South Africa.

Be classified by the University as an international student for tuition purposes and be able to cover the remaining tuition fees not funded by the scholarship.

Demonstrate the financial capability to meet all living expenses at the University, along with any travel or visa costs associated with studying in the UK.

Begin their academic programme in September 2025, as the scholarship cannot be deferred.

Apply through one of the University’s approved local representatives listed below (in alphabetical order).

Submit the scholarship application via a local representative no later than 27 June 2025.

Pay the net tuition fees for the first year in full by 1 November 2025 after enrollment.
